I will dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
